How to set the expiry date and limit response while creating a bulk link?

Published:
2 mins read

Boldsign offers the functionality to specify an expiration date for links and restrict the number of responses for bulk links. The expiration date determines when the link becomes inactive, preventing signers from accessing and completing document signing. Limiting responses refers to the ability to restrict the total number of responses received from signers. Without setting a limit, the bulk link can receive an unlimited number of responses.

Follow the below steps to set the expiry date and limit response for a bulk link:

  • Click the Create New button and select the Create New Bulk Link option.
  • Now, you will be directed to the Prepare Bulk Link Document page.
  • Here, fill in all the required fields and scroll down to the Settings section, where you can find both the Limit response and Expiry date fields.
  • By default, the Limit response field is disabled. If necessary, you can enable it and set the desired number of responses using the up or down arrow buttons or entering the number directly.
  • Limiting the responses restricts the number of signers allowed to sign the document.
  • Likewise, click the Expiry date field and type in the period of days after which you want the document to expire.
  • Once the link is expired, it cannot be accessed by signers. To grant access to the document after the expiry date, the sender must send an updated link to the signer.

  • Then, click the Next button and complete the document creation process.

Once the limited number of responses is set, only the specified number of signers can sign the document. If a signer tries to sign the document after reaching the response limit, they will see a corresponding message.
