With Zapier, you can automate the creation of BoldSign signature requests when a new record is added to the Airtable table. To do this, you can use Airtable
as the trigger app and BoldSign
as the action app to create a Zap in Zapier. Fortunately, a pre-configured Zap template is available for this scenario on the BoldSign integrations page on Zapier.
To use this Zap, you must have an Airtable account, as shown below.
Follow the below steps to send BoldSign signature requests from new or updated Airtable records:
- Go to the link Send BoldSign signature requests from new or updated Airtable records and review the Zap details.
- Click the
Try this template
button, and you will be directed to the Zap creation page. - Provide the relevant title at the top of the page and proceed to set up the template.
- In the trigger section, by default,
Airtable
is set as the trigger app, andNew or Updated Record
is the trigger event. - Connect the Airtable account and click the
Continue
button. - Under the Trigger column, select the
Base
andTable
fields from which you want to fetch the details and it is a must to have theLast Modified Time
field in the Airtable table. According to this, it checks for updates. - Test the trigger and click the
Continue
button to move on to the next section.
- For the Action section,
BoldSign
is pre-set as the action app, andSent Document From Template
is the action event. - Connect the BoldSign account and choose the template from the
Choose Template
field. The label is the only supported form field that can be added to the template. - Based on the chosen template, the fields will be displayed one below the other.
- Click
True
in the Sandbox Mode field to test the integration without consuming API credits. - Map other required fields and test the action to activate the Zap.
- Hence, whenever a new record is updated in Airtable, a document will be automatically generated and sent to the signer. The generated document will contain pre-filled information based on the details updated in Airtable.
