How to unlock a failed Email OTP document?

Published:
1 min read

When a signer receives a signature request email with the Email OTP option enabled, they will need to enter a verification code to access the document. However, if a signer enters an incorrect verification code three times, the document will be locked, and the following message will be shown.

The sender will be notified of the failed authentication and the document will be moved to the Needs Attention status. The sender must unlock the document to gain access to it.

Follow the steps below to unlock the document:

  • Go to the My Documents page and click on the particular document.
  • You will be directed to the Overview page. Click the context menu at the right end of the Recipient Details section and select the Resume signing option.
