How to set character spacing in form fields?

Published:
2 mins read

Character spacing refers to the amount of space between individual characters, such as letters, numbers, or symbols, within a piece of text. In BoldSign, you have the option to adjust the character spacing for text within both textboxes and label fields. By default, the character spacing value is set to zero.

If you enter an excessively high character spacing value, the system will limit it to the maximum acceptable value, considering factors such as the font size and dimensions of the textbox or label field.

Follow the steps below to set character spacing in form fields:

  • Click the Create New button and select Create New Document from the options.
  • Fill in all the required fields and click the Next button. You will be directed to the Configure Fields page.
  • Drag and drop the Textbox field to your intended location within the document. This action will trigger the opening of the Textbox settings pane on the right side.
  • Scroll down to the Character Spacing field and adjust the desired character spacing by using the increment or decrement value drop-down.

  • Once you have set the desired character spacing, click the Send button located at the top-right corner to proceed with sending the document out for signature.
  • When you apply a data sync tag to a textbox form field, any character spacing that has been applied to one of the form fields will be automatically replicated in the other related field.
