How do I reject a signature request?

The signer or the signer’s admin can decline the signature request document if they do not wish to sign it. When a document is shared with multiple recipients and one signer declines, it will also prevent other recipients from proceeding with the signing process. Therefore, it is important to carefully consider your decision before declining a document.
Follow the below steps to decline a document:
- Click the
Review and Signbutton on the email to open the document.
- Agree to the terms and conditions, then click
Continueto proceed to the document signing page. - Click the
More Actionsbutton at the top right corner of the page and choose theDeclineoption.
- A pop-up will appear. Enter the reason in the
Reasonfield and click theDeclinebutton.
If you have a BoldSign account, you can also decline the document by following the below method.
- Click the
Documentmenu and select theMy Documentsoption. - From the list of documents, select the one you need to decline.
- Click the
More actionsdrop-down button at the top right corner of the page and select theDeclineoption.
- A decline dialog box will be displayed. Enter the reason in the
Reasonfield and click theYes, declinebutton. - The document has now been declined.
