BoldSign allows senders to cancel or revoke a document after sending it for signature, but this action is only possible before the document is signed. Once the document has been canceled, signers are unable to proceed with the signing, and an email notification is automatically dispatched to both the sender and signer to notify them of the cancelation.
Follow the steps below to cancel a signature request:
- Go to the
Dashboard
page orMy Documents
on the Documents menu and select the document you want to cancel. - Click on the document to go to the Overview page.
- On the overview page, click on the
More Actions
button at the top right corner and several options will be displayed.
- Select the
Revoke
option and a Confirmation dialog box appears. - Enter the reason for revoking the document in the given text box before confirming revocation.
- Click the
Yes revoke
button and the document will be revoked successfully.
- Both the sender and the signer will be notified about the revocation of the document and sent an email. The sender will receive the below email for revocation:
- Once it is revoked, the signer can’t sign the document anymore and the following message will be shown on the signer side.
