What is conditional logic and how does it work?

Published:
1 min read

Conditional logic in form fields refers to conditions set within a document that determine when specific fields or sections will be displayed or hidden based on certain criteria. These rules allow for a dynamic and tailored user experience by showing or hiding fields based on user input or predefined conditions.

In BoldSign, the conditional logic feature is currently available for the following form fields:

  • Checkbox,
  • Radio Button,
  • Dropdown

By applying conditional logic, you can control the visibility of certain fields, making them appear only when a specific field is selected.

For instance, when the signer checks the checkbox, the form field(s) linked to that value will be displayed. When the check box is unchecked, the form field(s) linked to that value will be displayed to the signer.
