Is it possible to alert users on expiration?
Yes. In BoldSign, you have the option to alert users on the expiration of the document by enabling the Alert 1 day before expiry option. You can enable an alert during the document creation process or configure a default alert from the Business Profile page.
Follow the steps below to alert users on expiration:
- Click on
Create New
, go toCreate New Document
and you will be directed to the Prepare document for signing page. - Add files on the Add files section and add recipients.
- On the Document settings, under the
Expires in
section, set the expiry date of the document. - Then click on the checkbox to enable the
Alert 1 day before expiry
option and send the document for signature.

Now, the document expiration alert has been set successfully and the signer will receive a document expiration alert email 1 day before the document expiry.

If the expiry date is within 1 day, then the reminder alert will be sent 2 hours before expiry.

Alternatively, you can set a default alert by enabling the
Expiry Alert
option on the Business Profile page. -
By enabling this option on the Business Profile page, all the documents sent will have an expiry alert 1 day before the expiry.
