How to manually review uploaded documents for identity verification?
In certain instances where automatic identity verification may not be able to verify the identity, senders have the option to manually review uploaded documents that have failed verification. This process empowers users to carefully assess the authenticity of documents and make informed decisions regarding their approval or rejection.
Follow the steps below to manually review uploaded documents for identity verification:
-
Access My Documents Page: Begin by navigating to the
My Documents
page, which can be found in the sidebar menu of the BoldSign platform. -
Select Document for Review: Identify the document that requires manual review and click on it to open the document overview page.
- Initiate Manual Verification: Within the document overview page, locate the failed signer and click on the more options icon. From the dropdown menu, select
Manual Verification
.
- Review and Mark as Verified: Take the time to thoroughly review the uploaded documents. Upon confirming their validity, click on the
Mark as Verified
button. This action indicates that the identification is deemed valid and verified, allowing the signer to access the document. It’s important to note that once the document is marked as verified, the signer will not be required to undergo identity authentication again for this document.
Manual verification can also be performed via the API using the embedded verification endpoint. Users can refer to the BoldSign API documentation for detailed instructions on utilizing this feature programmatically.
By following these steps, users can effectively conduct manual reviews of uploaded documents for identity verification within the BoldSign platform. This ensures thorough scrutiny of documents, promoting enhanced security and reliability in document authentication processes.
