How to place form fields in a document in the BoldSign mobile application?

BoldSign offers various customizable form fields to gather information from signers. You can tailor these form fields to meet your specific requirements.

Follow the steps below to place form fields in a document in the BoldSign mobile application:

  • On the dashboard page, tap the + button in the bottom navigation bar to display the Create New bottom sheet and select the Create New Document option.
  • You will be navigated to the Upload Documents screen. Tap the Upload Documents button to upload files.
  • Then tap the Continue button to proceed to the Recipient List screen.

  • Add the recipients by tapping the Add recipient button at the bottom of the bar. After entering the recipient, tap the Add recipient button to add the recipient.

  • Tap the Next button to navigate to the Prepare Document screen. You can add CC recipients and change the document title and message, then tap the Configure fields button.

  • On the Configure fields screen, tap the + Fields button at the bottom of the screen or long press on the document and the list of form fields will be displayed.

  • Select the required form field and tap on the document to place it in the desired position.

  • When you place a form field on the document, the Settings, Copy, and Delete icons will be displayed. Tap the Settings icon to display the form field settings and customize them based on your requirements.

  • To duplicate a form field, tap on the copy icon. You can also delete by tapping the delete Icon.
  • You can change the font style, text size, line spacing, etc.

  • Under Preferences tab, you can set the form field as Required or Read-only, by default it is set as required.
  • When you set the form field as required, the signer must fill in their details before submitting the document, while the read-only option displays information to users without allowing them to change it.
  • Once the form fields are added, tap the Continue button.

  • You will be taken to the Document Actions screen. Tap the Send document option to send the document for signature.

  • The Document Summary screen will be displayed. Confirm all the details and tap the Send button.

  • The document will be sent successfully, and a confirmation message will be displayed as shown below.
