How to add an editable date field to the document?

Published:
1 min read

The editable date form field allows the signer to add a date to the document while signing. This field can be added to the document while creating it. You can specify a date range so that the signer can select the date within that range. If you didn’t specify the date range, then the signer can select any date from the calendar.

Follow the steps below to add an editable date field to the document:

  • Click Create New button from the dashboard and select the Create New Document option.
  • After filling in all the required fields on the first page, click Next to move to the Configure fields page.
  • You can find all the fields on the left side of the page.
  • Select the Editable date field and drag it to the desired location in the document.
  • Then, select the date format and font style using the dropdown in the Date Format and Font fields on the right side of the page.
  • You can add the default date in the Default Date field which will be displayed to the signer as a pre-filled value. You can also add multiple editable date fields and sync them using the Data Sync Tag option.
  • To select a date range, click the calendar button in the Date Range field, choose the Start Date and End Date, and then click Apply.
  • The selected date range will be filled in the date range text box.
  • Now, click the Send button.
