A group checkbox allows you to combine multiple checkboxes into a single field, enabling the signer to select one or more options. To create a group checkbox, add checkboxes to an existing checkbox field. You cannot set the group checkbox as a Required field; instead, use Validation to manage the selection requirements.
Follow the steps below to add a group checkbox to the document:
- Click on
Create New
, selectCreate New Document
, and you will be directed to the Prepare document for signing page. - Add files on the Add files section and Add recipients.
- Fill in any other required fields and click the
Next
button to go to the Configure fields page.
- On the configure fields page, drag and drop the Checkbox field to the required location.
- Click
Add Checkbox
in the Checkbox values section of the checkbox settings. You can add up to 100 checkboxes to the group. - Then, place the checkboxes in the required position.
- By default, the labels for checkboxes in a group are automatically set based on the number of checkboxes. If needed, you can customize these label values in the checkbox value section to fit your specific requirements.
- To remove a checkbox from a group, click the
remove icon
in the checkbox values section.
- You can use the Data Sync Tag for synchronizing group checkboxes with another group. The groups must have the same number of checkboxes. For example, when you sync a group checkbox with another group checkbox, any changes made in one checkbox will be reflected in the other checkbox as well.
- In the Validation Type field, choose the type and value that the signer must meet. The options are Minimum, Maximum, Absolute, and Range. For example, if you set the validation to Maximum with a value of 3, the signer cannot check more than three checkboxes.
- Once done, click the
Send
button to send the document for signature.
- When signers open the document, they will see a tooltip indicating the validation requirements, as shown below. They can complete the signing process only if they meet these requirements.
