How to create a SharePoint file when the status (completed, declined) of a BoldSign document changes?

By Integrating BoldSign with SharePoint via Power Automate you can automate document workflows by creating a SharePoint file automatically whenever the status of a BoldSign document changes, such as when it’s declined or completed. This integration ensures that completed or updated documents are automatically stored in your SharePoint library, reducing manual tasks and streamlining your document management process.

Follow the steps below to create a SharePoint file when the status of a BoldSign document changes:

  • Open the link Power Automate and create your account.

  • Then connect your BoldSign account with the Power Automate account by clicking the Connections option and adding BoldSign as the connection.

  • Once you have created the connection, click Create, navigate to My flows, and select New flow to create your workflow.
  • A designer page will open. Disable the New designer button.

  • You will be directed to the trigger page. Choose BoldSign as the trigger app.

  • Choose a Webhook event to listen to specific document status changes e.g., completed, declined, etc, and click the New step button.

  • You will be directed to the Choose operation section. Select BoldSign app as an action and click the Download document option.

Download document

  • Map the document ID in the Document ID field and click the New Step button.

  • In the operations section choose SharePoint as the action app.

  • Then select Create file as the action which will create a SharePoint file when the status of a BoldSign document changes

  • Enter the parameters in the Site Address, Folder Path, File Name and File content fields.
  • Once the flow is configured, click the Save button and run a test to ensure that it is working correctly.

Parameters

  • You have successfully integrated BoldSign with SharePoint using Power Automate. Now, whenever a BoldSign document status changes, a SharePoint file will be created.
