If I revoke an unsigned document, will I be charged?
No, the charge will be reversed within the current billing cycle. -
If I revoke a document after one person signs, will I be charged?
No, the charge will be reversed. -
If no one signs or the recipient declines, will I be charged?
Yes, the charge will not be reversed if a recipient declines. -
If one person signs and another declines, will I be charged?
Yes, you will be charged. -
Will using the sandbox API key incur charges?
No, using the sandbox API key is free of charge. -
Are there charges for documents in Draft, Sent, or Completed statuses?
There are no charges for documents with Draft status. Charges apply once a document is sent for signature. -
Do I need a separate account for development and testing (sandbox)?
No, you can create a sandbox key in your existing Enterprise API account for testing.

Who is a user?
In the API plan, a user is anyone responsible for configuring the BoldSign account for integration purposes. This includes tasks like generating API keys, creating OAuth apps, monitoring the developer console, and managing webhook configurations. -
How does API pricing work?

Free Sandbox: This plan is for testing our APIs. You can integrate our APIs into your application for free. However, the documents created will be watermarked as “This is a test document” and automatically deleted after 14 days.

Enterprise API: The Enterprise API pricing starts from $30/month, includes 40 signature requests. Once you’ve used the 40 signature requests, a pay-as-you-go plan will get started, costing $0.75 per signature request.

How are signature requests counted?
You will be charged per envelope sent for signature. You can add multiple documents within a single envelope, and they will be considered as one signature request. -
Can I test BoldSign’s API?
Yes, you can test BoldSign’s API with the free Sandbox plan. Remember, documents created with this plan will be watermarked and deleted after 14 days. -
Will my documents be secure?
Yes, documents created with BoldSign are entirely secure. Your data is protected so that even our staff cannot access it for troubleshooting purposes. Please refer to this link for more information: BoldSign security policy. -
