In BoldSign, it is possible to assign a Reviewer role in templates. This role is designed for individuals who need to review and approve the document, either before or after the signer. Unlike signers, reviewers do not sign the document but are required to review and approve it, ensuring that all necessary actions are completed in the signing process.
Creating a template with a reviewer role
- Start by either creating a new template or editing an existing one. To create a new template, click
Create New
and select theCreate New Template
option. - You will be taken to the Prepare Template page.
- Enter the template title and description in the respective fields. Then, add the files in the Add File(s) column and specify the roles in the Add Role(s) column.
- In the Add Role(s) section, specify the role for the signer.
- To include the Reviewer role, click the
Add Role
button, enter the role name, and specifyReviewer
from theAssign Role
dropdown field.
- Fill in any other necessary fields and click the
Next
button to proceed to the Configure Fields page. - On the Configure Fields page, add the required form fields for the signer role onto the document.
- After adding the required form fields to the document, click

.
A template cannot be created with only a Reviewer role. At least one Signer role must be added; otherwise, an error will occur.
