Where Is Signature Authentication Recorded in BoldSign?
Published:
1 min read
In BoldSign, signature authentication details are recorded in a separate audit trail document rather than on each signed page. This ensures document integrity while maintaining a professional appearance. The audit trail logs all signing activities, including timestamps, signer details, and authentication methods, and is available for download after document completion.
Information contained in the audit trail document
The audit trail document includes essential details such as:
- Document Details: Document ID, type, name, status, signing order, page count, and timestamps for when the document was sent and completed.
- Sender and Recipient Information: Names, email addresses, IP addresses, and device details of all parties involved.
- Security Authentication: The authentication methods used to verify each signer’s identity before signing.
- Signature Type: Whether the signature was typed, drawn, or uploaded as an image.
- Timestamps: Exact date and time (HH:MM:SS format) of each action performed, including signing, sending, and accessing the document.
- User Activity: A record of all interactions with the document, including who accessed it and what actions they performed.
