How to notify CC recipients when a document is revoked by sender

Published:
1 min read

When a sender revokes a document in BoldSign, the signing process is stopped, and the document is no longer accessible to any recipients — including those who were added as CC (carbon copy) recipients.

Email notification sent to CC recipients

As soon as the sender revokes the document:

  • CC recipients receive an email notification from BoldSign.
  • The email clearly states that the document has been revoked by the sender.
  • This notification is sent automatically and immediately when the document is revoked.

The Email Includes:

  • The name of the document.
  • The reason why the sender has revoked the document.
  • A message that the document is no longer accessible.

After revocation:

  • The link previously sent to CC recipients to view the document will no longer work.
  • Attempting to open the link will show a message that the document has been revoked or is no longer available.
  • CC recipients will not be able to download or view the document anymore.

CC recipients will not receive any more notifications related to that document. This includes status updates, reminders, or any further communication about the document.
