What happens when a shared template is deleted in BoldSign

Published:
1 min read

In BoldSign, when a shared template is deleted, it’s important that all users who previously had access are promptly informed. This ensures clarity and prevents confusion about the availability of the resource.

When a shared template is removed from the system, the following actions take place:

  1. Team Notifications

All team members who had access to the deleted template are notified that it is no longer available. These notifications are designed to ensure that users do not attempt to access or rely on a resource that has been removed.

  1. Email Notifications

Each affected user receives an email informing them about the deletion. This email includes the name of the template and a message confirming that it is no longer accessible.

  1. Dashboard Notifications

Users logged into the BoldSign platform will also receive an in-app notification via the notification tab. This real-time update ensures that even without checking their email, users are made aware of the change.

Impact on users

  1. Once the template is deleted:
  2. It will no longer be available in the Templates > Shared Templates section.
  3. Users will not be able to view, edit, or send documents based on the deleted template.

By providing both email and dashboard notifications, BoldSign ensures that all team members remain informed about the status of shared resources. This proactive communication helps avoid confusion and maintains operational continuity.
