How to schedule and send a document?

Scheduled send support in BoldSign refers to the process of sending a document at a predetermined future time instead of immediately.

Follow the below steps to schedule a document.

  • On the dashboard page, click Create New then select Create New Document.

  • You will be navigated to the prepare documents page.

  • Fill the required fields then click Next .

  • On the configure fields page, drag and drop the required fields to the document.

  • To schedule a document, navigate to the Send button and click the dropdown to display the Schedule send option.

  • Select Schedule send to open a dialog box with suggested time slots and an option to set a custom date and time.

  • Once you schedule a date, click Schedule send to complete the document scheduling process.

The minimum scheduled time must be at least 30 minutes from the current time, and the maximum must be set earlier than the expiry date.

How to manage a scheduled document

  • To view your scheduled documents, go to the Documents menu on the dashboard page and click My Documents.
  • Click on Scheduled in the status menu to display a list of your scheduled documents.

  • To manage your scheduled document, click on the context menu. The options include the following:
  1. Edit Schedule - Change the date or time your document will be sent. A box pops up to pick a new time.
  2. Send now – Skip the scheduled time and send the document to the signers right away.
  3. Cancel sending – Stop the scheduled send completely. The document moves to your drafts folder instead.
  4. Edit document – Make changes to the document itself. This cancels the current schedule, and you’ll need to schedule again.

This feature is available only on Business plans and above.
