By default, BoldSign allows senders to manage files while using templates, offering flexibility to add, replace, rearrange, or remove files based on their needs. However, if you want to maintain consistency and control over the template’s content, you can restrict users from making such file modifications.
Follow the steps below to prevent senders from uploading, replacing, rearranging, or deleting files when using a template:

  • Click on Create New, go to Create New Template and you will be navigated to the Prepare template page.

Create New Template

  • On the prepare template page, enter the ‘template title’ in the title field and the ‘description’ in the description field.
  • Next, add the necessary files in the Add Files section and define signer roles in the Add Role(s) section.

Add template details

  • The default recipient name and email address are optional, you can choose to add them during template creation or later when using the template.
  • Navigate to the Template Usage Settings, under the Files section, you can find the Allow sender to add more files and Allow sender to replace, rearrange and delete files options.
  • These options are enabled by default, to disable them uncheck the boxes then click next, the users will not be able to modify or upload files to the template.

  • Once these restrictions are applied, users will not be able to add, edit, replace, or delete files when using this template.
