How to export and import templates in BoldSign?

BoldSign allows users to export and import templates in JSON file format. This feature streamlines template management, making it easier to back up templates or transfer them between organizations.

Exporting templates

Follow the steps below to export a template:

  • From the Dashboard, expand the Templates menu and choose All Templates.

  • On the All Templates page, identify the template you want to export and click on its context menu to display a list of options.
  • Click on the Export option to download your template as a JSON file.

  • If you want to export multiple templates, select the desired templates and then click the Export option.

  • The files will be saved to your default downloads folder.

Importing templates

The import process is just as straightforward. Follow these steps to import your templates:

  • Choose the All Templates option from the Template menu.

  • On the All Templates page, you will see a button labeled New Template. Click the dropdown icon and select the Import Templates option.

  • A dialog box will appear. Click Browse files, or drag and drop each JSON template file you want to upload.

  • After uploading the template files, a new dialog box will appear showing the uploaded file(s). You can upload additional templates by clicking Upload another file.
  • Once all files are uploaded, click Close to complete the import process.

  • The templates will be successfully imported and can be edited as needed.

The file must be in JSON format and should not exceed 50 MB when importing templates.
