How to set up Microsoft Entra ID in BoldSign?

Published:
2 mins read

In BoldSign, you can integrate Microsoft Entra ID (formerly Azure Active Directory) with BoldSign to automatically invite users to your BoldSign account via email. This integration keeps your user list in sync with your organization’s directory and simplifies user management.

Requirements

Before setting up Microsoft Entra ID User Provisioning in BoldSign, ensure the following:

  • You have an active paid BoldSign subscription (Business or higher).
  • You are an account administrator in BoldSign.

Enable Microsoft Entra ID User Provisioning

Follow these steps to enable and configure the integration:

  • From the Dashboard, go to the Settings menu and select Identity Management.
  • Navigate to the User Provisioning tab within the Identity Management settings.
  • You will see the Tenant URL and a Generate Token options.

A SCIM secret token is generated during this process. It is long-lived and does not expire. You can maintain up to two active tokens for key rotation and to avoid downtime.

  • Click Generate Token to initiate the token creation process.

iGenerate token option

  • If your current plan does not support the Microsoft Entra ID User Provisioning feature, an upgrade prompt will appear. Click Upgrade to switch to a compatible plan.
  • If your plan supports it, the token will be generated and displayed.

Token

The token is shown only once at the time of generation. Be sure to copy and store it securely. Afterward, it will appear as a hashed value.

BoldSign Support cannot retrieve or recover this token. If you don’t save it, you’ll need to generate a new one.

  • Make sure to securely back up the generated Secret Token, as it will be required for configuring synchronization between Microsoft Entra ID and BoldSign.

  • If needed, you can delete the token later by clicking the Delete option next to it.

Delete option

  • Deleting a token disables the associated SCIM endpoint.
  • Synchronization will stop working until a new token is generated and configured.

For detailed instructions on the synchronization process, refer to the Microsoft Entra ID synchronization documentation.
