Why can’t I access Sender Identities created by other users in BoldSign?
Published:

Sender identities in BoldSign are user-specific and are not shared across accounts. Here’s why:
Access control and user permissions
Sender identities are tied to the user who created them. Only that user can:
- View the Sender Identities page
- Manage associated notifications
Note for Admins: If you need to manage a sender identity created by another user, they must first remove it from their account. You can then add the same identity to your own account.
Privacy and compliance restrictions
To comply with privacy regulations and protect user consent:
- BoldSign does not allow one user to access another user’s sender identities.
- Sharing such data internally requires a legal review to ensure compliance with data protection laws.
Duplicate identity limitation
BoldSign does not support using the same email address as a sender identity across multiple accounts. If you try to add an identity already in use, you’ll receive an alert.
