Revoking a document refers to the process of recalling or canceling a document before it is signed. In the BoldSign mobile app, this feature is useful when a document has been sent in error, contains incorrect information, or is no longer needed. Once revoked, the document becomes inaccessible to all signers, and notifications are sent to all involved parties.
Follow the steps below to revoke a document:
- Log in to your BoldSign mobile app account.
- Tap the
Documents
icon on the bottom navigation bar to access your list of documents.
- Locate the document you want to revoke and tap its context menu (three vertical dots).
- Choose the
Revoke
option.
- The Revoke bottom sheet will appear. Enter the reason for revoking the document in the provided field.
- After entering the reason, tap the
Yes, revoke
button.
- The document will be revoked successfully.
- Alternatively, you can revoke the document from its Document Info screen:
- Locate the document and tap it to access its Document Info screen.
- Tap the context menu at the top-right corner.
- Select the
Revoke
option.
- Provide the reason for revocation.
- Tap the
Yes, revoke
button to complete the process.
Only the sender or a sender admin has permission to revoke documents in BoldSign.
