How to send documents at a scheduled time using the BoldSign mobile app?

The Schedule Send feature in the BoldSign mobile app lets you send documents at a future date and time, ensuring they reach recipients exactly when needed, without manual follow-up. You can choose from predefined time slots or set a custom date and time. Once scheduled, BoldSign automatically delivers the document at the specified time, streamlining your workflow.

Schedule and send signature requests

Follow the steps below to schedule a document for sending:

  • On the Dashboard screen, tap the + button on the bottom navigation bar to open the Create New screen, then select Create New Document.

  • On the Upload Documents screen, tap the Upload documents button to upload your file.

  • Tap Continue to proceed to the Recipient List screen.
  • Tap the Add Recipient button at the bottom to enter recipient details, then tap Add Recipient again to confirm.
  • Tap Next to go to the Prepare Document screen, where you can add CC recipients, change the document title, and edit the document message
  • Tap Configure Fields.

  • On the Configure Fields screen, place the required form fields on the document.

  • To schedule the document:

    • On mobile view, tap Continue in the app bar and select Schedule Send

    • On tablet view, tap the dropdown on the Send button in the app bar and select Schedule Send.

  • The Schedule Send bottom sheet will appear with three predefined time slots and a Custom Date & Time option.

  • After selecting the date and time, tap Next, then tap Schedule Send to confirm.

The scheduled time must be at least 30 minutes from the current time and before the document’s expiry date.

Manage scheduled documents

Follow the steps below to manage your scheduled documents:

  • Tap the Documents icon on the bottom navigation bar to access your list of documents.
  • Tap the Scheduled status filter to view all scheduled documents.

  • Locate the required document and tap its context menu. The available options include:
    • Edit schedule – Change the date or time your document will be sent. A box pops up to pick a new time.
    • Send now – Skip the scheduled time and send the document to the signers right away.
    • Cancel sending – Stop the scheduled send completely. The document moves to your Drafts folder.

  • These options are accessible from both the Document Listing screen and the Document Overview screen.
