How to manage push notification settings in the mobile app?
The BoldSign mobile app supports push notifications, allowing you to stay updated on all your documents, their status, and any changes in real time. Notifications are delivered seamlessly in both iOS and Android devices, whether the app is open, running in the background, or in the closed state.
When you log in to your BoldSign account, you’ll be prompted to allow BoldSign to send notifications. Make sure to grant permission. Otherwise, the push notifications will not be received.

By default, push notifications will be enabled for the following events:

You can easily customize your push notification settings to match your needs. Follow these steps:

Notification Settings, then selectMy Push Notifications. - You’ll see four tabs:
Sender,Recipient,CC, andTemplate. - Use the checkbox on the right of each option to enable or disable specific notifications based on your preference.

Controlling your recipient’s push notification settings
In some situations, you may want to disable push notifications for your recipients. BoldSign gives document senders full control over these settings.
For example, even if a recipient has enabled notifications for Receive a document to sign or approve, turning off this option in Recipient Push Notifications before sending the document will prevent them from receiving that notification.
Follow the steps below to update the recipient’s push notification settings.
- Open the Profile screen, go to
Notification Settings, then selectRecipient Push Notifications. - You’ll see two tabs:
Recipient, andCC. - Use the checkbox on the right of each option to enable or disable specific notifications.
- After making your changes, tap
Save changesto apply them.
Enabling a notification on your side does not guarantee it will appear for the recipient. The recipient must also have enabled push notifications for that scenario.
