How to set default date & time format for date field in mobile app?

In BoldSign, you can set the default date and time formats used in Date Signed fields and choose the default date format for editable date (date picker) fields. These settings help maintain consistent formatting across all documents and ensure recipients see dates in the correct format.
Set default date and time formats for date fields
Follow the steps below to set the default date and time formats for date fields from the web app:
- Expand the
Settingsmenu and chooseBusiness Profile. - Under the Settings tabs, scroll to the
Date Field Settings. - You will see the
Date FormatandTime Formatsections. - To set the default date format, click the
Date Format dropdownmenu and choose the required format from the preset options.
- To set the default time format, click the
Time Format dropdownmenu and choose your preferred format.
- Once done, proceed to save the changes by clicking the
Savebutton. - After saving:
- The default date and time format will be used in the Date Signed fields.
- The date format only will be used in editable date fields (date picker fields), since time is not applicable to editable date fields.
How formats work in the mobile app
During the document creation process on the mobile app:
- Place the
Date signedfield and theEditable date (date picker)fields onto your document. - For the Date signed field, the date and time displayed will match the Date Format and Time Format chosen in the Date Field Settings.
- For Editable date fields, the date displayed will match the Date Format set in the Date Field Settings.
- You can also adjust the date and time formats under the Date and Time Formats section if you require different formatting for a specific document.
- Once done placing fields, proceed to send the document out for signature.
