How to create and configure BoldSign templates for Salesforce?
Admins and users with the BoldSign Admin permission set can create reusable BoldSign templates directly within Salesforce, without needing to switch to the BoldSign application. These templates can later be reused to send signature requests efficiently.
Steps to create a new template

Open the BoldSign app from the Salesforce App Launcher.
-
Go to the Setup page and select create template option.
-
Add template details such as template name, description.
-
Select the Salesforce object from which the template will be sent (for example, Opportunity, Account, or Contact).
BoldSign supports all Salesforce standard and custom objects.
-
Upload a document from your system or select the file from Salesforce documents.
-
Add roles (Signer, Reviewer) and CC.
-
Select the preferred delivery method for the signer.
-
Select how recipients will be chosen when this template is used.
Manual – Enter recipient details manually when sending the template.
Salesforce Contact – Select recipients from Salesforce Contact records when sending the template.
Related Contact (Recommended) – Select recipients from the contacts related to the Salesforce record when sending the template. -
Click Next.
-
Drag and drop required fields onto the document and provide meaningful name to the fields, so that it will be easy to do the field mapping for prefilling the fields.
-
Create a template, and you will be redirected to the field mapping section.
-
Map Salesforce fields to template fields.
-
Enable Writeback to Salesforce to update Salesforce records with values entered by signers in the document.
writeback is not supported with lookup fields on the salesforce records.
-
Save the mapping to enable automatic data prefill.
Your template is now ready to use. You can send this template from the selected Salesforce object using BoldSign Signature LWC component.
