How to send a document with your brand signature frame on the mobile app?

Published:

A signature frame is a secure visual element displayed around a recipient’s signature field in a document. It contains:

  • Recipient’s name
  • Email address
  • Timestamp of signature completion
  • Unique signature ID

The BoldSign name, along with the signature ID tied to the recipient’s email, helps verify that signatures were created on the BoldSign platform and improves document authenticity.

Creating a brand with a signature frame on the web app

The brand should be created via the BoldSign web app by following the steps below:

  • In the BoldSign web app on the left navigation, open Settings and choose Branding.
  • Click Create New Brand.
  • Enter a Brand Name and upload your logo.
  • Under Advanced options, find Add a signature frame (disabled by default) and toggle it on.
  • After enabling, choose which items to display or hide:
    • Recipient name
    • Recipient email
    • Timestamp
  • Click Save to create the brand with the signature frame enabled.

The signature frame will be visible:

  • On the Configure Fields screen
  • On the Signing screen
  • When viewing or downloading the completed document

Points to note

  • The timestamp is displayed only after the signing process is completed (i.e., when viewing or downloading the final document).
  • Updating the signature frame settings in a brand does not impact existing documents or templates. The changes apply only to newly created documents and templates.
