How to view Business Associate Agreement (BAA)?

BoldSign allows organizations to review their Business Associate Agreement (BAA) after enabling HIPAA compliance. This article explains the prerequisites and the steps to view the accepted BAA in your BoldSign account.

Prerequisites

Before viewing the BAA, make sure the following requirements are met:

  • Your organization is on a supported plan (Business Yearly or Premium Yearly).
  • HIPAA compliance is enabled for your organization.
  • You are signed in as an Account Admin.

Steps to view the BAA

Follow the steps below to access the accepted Business Associate Agreement:

Step 1: Sign in to BoldSign

  • Sign in to your BoldSign account using your admin credentials.

Step 2: Open Compliance settings

  • From the left navigation menu, click Settings, then select Compliance.

Step 3: Open the HIPAA Compliance section

  • Locate the HIPAA Compliance card on the Compliance page.

Step 4: View the accepted BAA

  • If your organization has already accepted the BAA, a View Details option will be available.

Open the BAA to review:

  • The complete BAA document.
  • The name of the user who accepted the BAA.
  • The date and time when the BAA was accepted.

View BAA

  • Once HIPAA compliance is enabled and the BAA is accepted, it cannot be disabled.
  • All users in the organization automatically operate under HIPAA compliance mode.
  • Some features that are not HIPAA-compliant may be restricted.
