How to sync form fields and auto-fill the data in the mobile app?

The BoldSign mobile app lets you easily synchronize form fields using the Data Sync Tag feature. By adding the same sync tag to multiple form fields, you can link them together. Once linked, entering a value in any one of the synced fields will automatically update all the others with the same value.

Supported form fields

This feature supports the following field types:

• Textbox
• Label
• Checkbox
• Dropdown
• Image
• Editable Date

Also note that, only fields of the same type can be synced. For example, a Textbox cannot be synced with a Label.

Creating a document with synced form fields

Follow the steps below to sync form fields while creating a document in the BoldSign mobile app:

• On the Dashboard screen, tap the + button located on the bottom navigation bar.

• On the Upload Documents screen, tap Upload documents to add your file.

• Tap Continue to proceed to the Recipient List screen.
• Tap Add Recipient at the bottom to enter recipient details, then tap Add Recipient again to confirm
• Tap Next to move to the Prepare Document screen, then tap Configure fields.

• On the Configure Fields screen, place a Textbox form field on the document. Tap the settings icon to open the field settings.
• In the Textbox settings, scroll down to the Data Sync Tag option and enter the desired tag value.
• Place another Textbox field and assign the same Data Sync Tag value to sync both fields. Textbox fields with matching tag values will automatically synchronize.
• Tap Continue, then tap Send Now to send the document for signature.

Signer view

• When the signer enters a value in any synchronized field, the same value is automatically filled in all other fields that share the identical Data Sync Tag value.

• Similarly, you can sync the Label, Checkbox, Dropdown, Image and Editable date form fields and auto-fill the data.
