How to manage signing preferences in the mobile app?

Signing preferences in the mobile app allow you to manage how your signature, initials, and job title are applied when signing documents.

You can set the app to either:

  • Use the signing details saved in your profile automatically, or
  • Require manual entry of signing details for each document.

How to change the signing preferences?

Follow the steps below to update your preferences:

Step 1: Open your profile

  • Go to your BoldSign mobile app Dashboard.
  • Tap on the Profile section.

Step 2: Go to signing preferences

  • Select Signature Settings

  • There you can find the Signing Preferences option.

Step 3: Choose your preferred option

Select one of the following options:

Use profile details
When this option is enabled:

  • Your saved signature, initials, and job title are automatically applied while signing documents.
  • You don’t need to re‑enter details each time.

Do not use profile details
When this option is enabled:

  • You must manually enter your signing details for each document.
  • Ideal if you need different information for different documents.

Available preferences

Step 4: Save your changes

  • Tap Save Changes to apply your selected preference.

Your signing preference will now be used for all future document signings in the mobile app.

Key information

  • Changes apply only to future signing sessions.
  • Signing preferences can be updated at any time.
  • Completed documents are not affected by preference changes.
