How to scan and export documents using the document scanner app?

Easily capture paper documents using your device camera, enhance them for clarity, and export them in high quality or optimized formats for sharing and download.

How to scan documents?

Follow these steps to scan documents using the BoldSign document scanner app:

1. Tap the Add image button on the app home screen.

2. Select Scan to use your device camera.

3. Position the document within the camera view.
   • The app automatically detects edges and outlines the document.
   • It can auto-capture when the document is stable, or you can tap the shutter button to capture manually.

4. For multi-page documents, continue scanning pages one by one.
   After capturing, you can enhance each page by:
   • Adjusting crop borders.
   • Rotating the image.
   • Applying filters such as Color, Grayscale, or Black & White (B&W) to improve readability.

Preview scanned images

• Once scanning is complete, you will be taken to the Preview screen.
  From this screen, you can:
  • View all scanned pages in a grid layout.
  • Reorder pages as needed.
  • Add more images to the existing document.

Export scanned documents

To export your scanned documents:

1. Use the action buttons at the bottom of the screen.
2. Choose to share, download, or print the document.
3. Select the desired export format:
   • PDF: Combine all pages into a single PDF file.
   • ZIP: Export all pages as individual images in a ZIP file.
   • Images: Export each page as a separate image file.

Image format settings

• You can choose PNG or JPG as the export image format in the app settings.
• Default format: JPG

Export a single image

To export a specific page:

1. Tap any image in the grid to open it in full-screen view.
2. Use the available options to:
   • Download
   • Share
   • Print
3. Zoom in to view details or swipe to navigate between pages.

You can also use the Retake option to replace the selected image.

Export multiple documents

You can export multiple documents directly from the Home page:

1. Go to the All Documents list.
2. Long press a document or tap the Selection mode option.
3. Select multiple documents.
4. Use the action buttons to export them.
