How to delete the Single Sign-On (SSO) configuration in BoldSign?

After configuring SSO in BoldSign, a Delete SSO option becomes available at the bottom of the SSO configuration page. Deleting this configuration disables SSO access for all users in the organization.

This article explains how to delete an existing Single Sign-On (SSO) configuration in BoldSign and what happens to users after the configuration is removed.

Steps to delete SSO configuration

Follow these steps to delete the configured SSO:

  • Go to the SSO Configuration page.
  • Click the Delete SSO Configuration button.

  • A confirmation dialog will appear explaining the impact of this action.
  • Review the information and click Delete to proceed.

What happens after deleting SSO?

  • Users will no longer be able to log in using SSO.
  • All users must sign in using their email address and password.

Email notifications sent to users

After the SSO configuration is deleted, users will receive email notifications based on their account status:

Users without a password

  • Will receive an email prompting them to set up a password.

Users with an existing password

  • Will receive an email informing them that SSO has been removed…

User experience after SSO deletion

If a user attempts to log in using SSO, an informational message will be displayed indicating that SSO is no longer available.

For users without a password

  • A Resend Setup Link option will be shown on the login page.
  • Users can use this option to receive the password setup email again.
  • After setting their password, they can log in to their BoldSign account using their email and password.

Click Resend Setup Link

For users with an existing password

  • TheResend Setup Link option will not be displayed.
  • They can directly log in using their email and password.

Resend Setup Link will not be available

  • Deleting the SSO configuration impacts all users in the organization.
  • Make sure to inform users in advance to prevent login disruptions.
