How to migrate completed documents from DocuSign to BoldSign?

BoldSign now offers a seamless way to migrate completed documents from DocuSign, allowing users to keep their important documents in one place. This feature is designed to enhance accessibility and streamline document management by eliminating the need to switch between two platforms.

Prerequisites

Only customers with a DocuSign Production account and production-enabled API access are eligible to migrate completed documents to BoldSign. DocuSign demo or developer sandbox accounts are not supported.

Steps to import completed documents

To initiate the import process, please follow these steps:

  1. Contact Support: Reach out to the support team at [email protected] or create a support ticket at BoldSign Support.

  2. Verification and feature enablement: Once your request is received, the support team will review and verify the details. After successful verification, the Imported Documents page will be enabled in your BoldSign account under the Documents section.

  3. Enter Credentials: After the Imported Documents page becomes available, click Manage Credentials and provide the following information:

    • API Integration Key
    • Account ID
    • User ID
    • Private Key
  • As shown below, you can find these details in the DocuSign account’s Admin page under IntegrationsApps and Keys.

  • You can find your User ID and API account ID in the My Account Informationsection.

  • To obtain your Private Key and Integration Key, click on Add App and Integration Key.

  • Once the app is created, you will be redirected to a new page where the App Integration Key is available under the General Info section.

  • In the Service Integration section below, you have the option to generate an RSA key, which will give you the value for your private key.

  1. Submit Request:
    Once you have gathered these keys and then in the BoldSign app’s imported documents page, you will find a button labeled Manage Credentials.

  • Here, you need to input the correct credentials. After entering the necessary information, submit your request for document import.

The migration process typically takes 2 to 3 business days, depending on the number of documents being imported. You will be notified through your support ticket once the migration is complete.

Access imported documents

Once the migration is complete, you can access your completed documents through the Imported Documents page. This page allows you to:

  • View a list of your documents based on document title, sender name, and date range.
  • Download your completed documents in ZIP format.
  • Delete imported documents from BoldSign when required.

Delete stored credentials

After the migration is complete, you can optionally delete the stored credentials from the Manage Credentials dialog to help maintain your account security and comply with your organization’s security requirements.
