How to Automatically Send Signature Requests Using Salesforce Flow

You can use Salesforce Flows with the BoldSign Template Send Action to automatically send documents for signature when specific business conditions are met.

If you do not have permission to create Flows, contact your Salesforce administrator.

Step 1: Navigate to Flows
  1. Go to Setup.
  2. Search for Flows in the Quick Find box.
  3. Open Flows.
  4. Click New Flow.

Step 3: Configure the Flow Trigger
  1. Select the object on which you want to trigger the Flow (for example, Opportunity).
  2. Set Trigger the Flow When to A record is created or updated, or choose the option that best fits your business process.
  3. Configure the entry conditions based on your requirements so that the Flow runs only when the specified criteria are met.

When writeback is enabled, BoldSign updates the associated Salesforce record throughout the document lifecycle. These updates may satisfy the Flow’s trigger criteria and cause the Flow to run again. To avoid unintended Flow executions, ensure that the entry conditions are configured carefully and select Only when a record is updated to meet the condition requirements.

  1. For When to Run the Flow for Updated Records, select:
    • Only when a record is updated to meet the condition requirements
  2. Click Done.
