How to enable two-step authentication?

Two-step authentication is a security method that requires two different forms of authentication to verify the identity of the user. While logging in, in addition to the username and password, you must enter the verification code to access your account. BoldSign supports the following two-step authentication methods.
- Authenticator app authentication
- Text messaging (SMS) authentication
- Recovery email authentication
Follow the steps below to enable the authentication methods:
Authenticator app
- Go to the
Settings
menu and clickMy profile
. - In the Enable Two-factor Authentication section, click the
Add
button near the Authenticator app option.
- To complete the process, a dialog box will appear on your screen containing a QR code. Using your mobile device, open an authenticator app such as Google Authenticator or Microsoft Authenticator. Scan the QR code displayed on the dialog box using the camera within the authenticator app.
- A verification code will be generated in the authenticator app. Enter the code in the Enter verification code field and click
Continue
. - A confirmation dialog box will appear. Click the
Continue
button in the dialog box. - Now, the authenticator app authentication has been enabled successfully.
Text messaging authentication
- Go to My profile and click
Add
button near thePhone Number
option. - Set Up SMS Authentication dialog box will be displayed. Enter your phone number in the
Mobile Number
field and click theVerify Phone Number
button.
- A verification code will be sent to your mobile number. Add the code in the Enter verification code field and click
Verify
.
- A confirmation dialog box will appear. Click the
Continue
button in the dialog box. - Now, the mobile number authentication has been enabled and updated on the My Profile page.
Recovery email authentication
- Go to My profile and click
Add
button near theRecovery Email
option. - Set Up Email Authentication dialog box will be displayed. Enter the email Id in the
Enter email Id
field and click theVerify Email Address
button.
- A verification code will be sent to the recovery email Id. Add the code in the Enter verification code field and click
Verify
.
- A confirmation dialog box will appear. Click the
Continue
button in the dialog box. - Now, the recovery email authentication has been enabled and updated on the My Profile page.
