How to address the "Needs Attention" Status in BoldSign?

Published:
1 min read

In BoldSign, the Needs Attention status indicates that there is an issue with a document that requires your attention to resolve. If a document is sent to an invalid email address, it will not be delivered to the intended signer. Similarly, if the signer enters an incorrect authentication code more than three times, they will be unable to access the document. In either case, the document status will be changed to Needs Attention. You can see this status on the Dashboard and My Documents page.

When a document is marked as Needs Attention, you can review the issue and take appropriate actions to resolve it, such as correcting any errors or contacting the signer for further information so that the document can be processed and delivered as intended.

To review and correct the documents in the needs attention status, follow the steps below:

  • Click on the document and check the email address/access code on the overview page.
  • To change the access code, select the context menu at the right end of the recipient, click the Auto generate or Change manually option, and add the access code.
  • You can use the Email access code option to send the access code to the signer through email.
  • If you want to change the authentication type, click the Remove authentication option, and add the Email OTP option. The OTP will be sent to the signer’s email id when they open the document.
