Can team admin or account admin view the document?

By default, team and account administrators do not have access to view the documents of team members. However, it is possible to grant custom permissions that allow for document viewing. The account owner of the organization can only provide custom permissions.

Creating custom viewing permission as an account owner

If you are the account owner, you can provide custom permission for any member by following the steps below:

  • Navigate to the Users & Teams section and select Custom Permissions.
  • Click the New Custom Permission button in the page’s top right corner.
  • Complete all required fields and choose View Document in the Documents setion under Resources and Permissions.

  • Scroll to the Access Type field and select Allow. Click Save.
  • The custom permission has been created successfully. The account or team admin can now view and download the document.
