When attempting to invite a new user to your organization on BoldSign, in some cases, you may encounter an error why says the user already exists in another organization. This article provides a step-by-step guide on how to handle this scenario.

Understanding the error message

If you receive an error message stating, “User already exists in other organization,” it means that the email address you are trying to invite has already been registered with BoldSign and is associated with a different organization. This prevents you from adding them to your organization as BoldSign does not allow a single email to be linked to multiple organizations.

Recommended solution

To resolve this issue, the user in the other organization must initiate the account deletion process from their current BoldSign account. Here’s how to proceed:

  1. Request account deletion: Ask the user to visit the following link and follow the instructions to delete their BoldSign account: Delete BoldSign Account.

  2. Account deletion timeline: Normally, the account deletion process takes 7 days to complete. However, if you need to expedite this process, our support team can assist you.

  3. Contact support: Once the user has initiated the account deletion process, reach out to the BoldSign support team. Provide them with the necessary details, and they will take the required actions to remove the user’s account from the system immediately.

  4. Invite the user: After the account has been successfully deleted, you will be able to invite the user to your organization without any conflicts.

Additional Assistance

If you encounter any difficulties or have questions regarding the account deletion or invitation process, please do not hesitate to contact the BoldSign support team for further assistance.
