The timestamps in the audit trail document are displayed in UTC time zone by default. The time zone can be changed according to user preference on the branding page. This time zone setting will also be reflected in the date signed field.
Follow the steps below to change the time zone:
- Go to
Settings
and selectBranding
. - On the Branding page, click the
Create New Brand
option. - Add your brand name, logo, and colors in the respective fields, then move to the advanced section.
- You can find the Document Time Zone option. Enable the option and click
Save
.
- Now when creating a document for signature request, select the exact brand in which the document time zone was set.
- Fill in any other required fields then click the
Next
button to proceed to the configure fields page. - On the configure fields page, drag and drop the date signed field and any other required fields onto the document then send it for signature.
- When the signer opens the document, the date signed field will be filled automatically based on the selected time zone. For example, if you set the time zone to
East Africa Time(Africa/ Adis_Ababa),
the date signed field will be displayed in the selected time zone.
- Once the signing process is completed, you can download the audit trail document.
- The user’s selected time zone has been applied to the audit trail. All event timestamps in the audit trail will now be displayed according to the chosen time zone.
