How to disable verification code when logging in to BoldSign account?

Published:
2 mins read

BoldSign requires two-factor authentication (2FA) for enhanced security. It is not possible to completely disable the verification code during the initial login, as this is an important security measure designed to protect your account. However, you can disable two-step authentication to remove the email verification code requirement for subsequent logins.

Follow the below steps to disable Two-Factor Authentication in BoldSign:

  • Click the Settings menu and select My Profile.
  • You will be redirected to the My Profile page.
  • Under the Profile Details tab, scroll down to the Two-Step Authentication section, where you will see various authentication methods.
  • To disable an authentication method, for example an email verification, click the Remove button. This will eliminate the need for a verification code during login.

  • If you log into Account A and then attempt to sign a document using Account B in the same browser, it may trigger a sign-out from Account A. As a result, you will be prompted to enter a verification code again when switching between accounts. To avoid this, use separate browsers for different accounts.
  • If you log in from an unrecognized device, such as a new computer, a different browser, or after changing device settings, you will be required to enter a one-time password (OTP) during the first login for security purposes.
  • If you prefer receiving the verification code on your phone instead of email, you can configure Two-Factor Authentication (2FA) by selecting Phone Number (SMS) or Authenticator App as your preferred method. This allows you to receive the verification code via SMS or an authentication app when logging into BoldSign. Refer to this article on How to enable two-step authentication for detailed instructions.
