Why is the download audit trail option not visible in a signed document?
If the audit trail option is missing from a signed document, it may be due to the following reason:
Reason
In BoldSign, when the Combine Audit Trail
option is enabled, the system automatically includes the audit trail within the signed document. Because of this inclusion, there is no need for a separate audit trail file. As a result, the Download audit trail
option is not shown on the My Documents page for that document.
Solution
To make the Download audit trail option visible, you need to disable the Combine Audit Trail
option. Once this option is turned off, the audit trail will no longer be included within the signed document, and the system will display a separate Download audit trail
option on the My Documents page.
Follow the below steps to make the Download audit trail option visible in a signed document:
- Go to the
Settings
menu, click on theBranding
option and you will be directed to the Manage Brands page - On the
Manage Brands
page, click on theCreate New Brand
button.
- Add the Brand Name, logo, color, and all other required fields. You can also set the Brand name as your default brand.
- To make the Download audit trail option visible in a signed document, disable the
Combine Audit Trail
option and click theSave
button in the top right corner of the Create New Brand page.
- Then, create a document on the
Create New page
, select the right brand in which theCombine Audit Trail
option is disabled, and click send.
- Now, when you send the document with the
Combine Audit Trail
option in a disabled state, theDownload audit trail
option will be visible in a signed document on theMy documents
page. - If you already have a brand, you can disable the
Combine Audit Trail
option using theEdit Brand
