Why is the download attachment option not visible in a signed document?
If the attachment option is missing from a signed document, it may be due to the following reason:
Reason
In BoldSign, when the Combine Attachments option is enabled, the system automatically merges all attachments into the signed document. Since the attachments are already included, there is no need for separate downloads. As a result, the Download Attachment option is not displayed on the My Documents page for that document.
Solution
To make the Download attachment option visible, you need to disable the Combine Attachments. Once this option is turned off, the attachments will no longer be included within the signed document, and the system will display a separate Download attachment option on the My Documents page.
Follow the steps below to make the Download attachment option visible in a signed document:
- Go to the Settings menu, click on the
Branding optionand you will be directed to the Manage Brands page - On the Manage Brands page, click on the
Create NewBrand button.
- Add the Brand Name, logo, color scheme, and all other required fields. You can also set the Brand name as your default brand.
- To make the
Download attachmentoption visible in a signed document, move to the Advanced section, disable theCombine Attachmentsoption, and click theSavebutton in the top right corner of the page.
- Then, create a document. On the Prepared document for signing page, select the right brand in which the
Combine Attachmentsoption is disabled, and clicksend.
- Now, when you send the document with the
Combine Attachmentsoption in a disabled state, theDownload attachmentoption will be visible in a signed document on the My documents page. - If you already have a brand, you can disable the
Combine Attachmentsoption using theEdit Brandoption.
