How document deletion warnings are delivered through Whatsapp?

Published:
1 min read

In BoldSign, if the delivery option is set to WhatsApp, and the sender permanently deletes a document, the recipients will be notified via WhatsApp. The notification is sent to the WhatsApp phone number specified by the sender when initiating the signing request. This ensures recipients are aware of the deletion and can take appropriate action if needed.

Details included in the WhatsApp notification

  • Document title: The name of the document scheduled for deletion.
  • Scheduled deletion time: The exact time the document is set to be permanently deleted.
  • Backup alert: A message encouraging recipients to back up the document if necessary.

Notification pricing

  • Each WhatsApp notification incurs a charge of $0.10.
  • The sender is charged for the notifications, not the recipients.

Examples:

The table below shows how notification costs vary based on scenarios.

Scenario Details WhatsApp Credit per Notification Total Notifications Total WhatsApp Credit
Single Signer One deletion warning notification sent $0.10 1 $0.10
Multiple Signers (e.g., 3 signers) Each signer receives a separate deletion warning notification $0.10 3 $0.30

How recipients receive the notification

  • Recipients are notified via WhatsApp about the scheduled deletion time and are alerted to back up the document.
  • The notification also informs them that the document can still be viewed before it is permanently deleted.

The WhatsApp delivery feature is available in Business and higher-tier plans as an add-on feature. If your current plan does not support it, consider upgrading to a supported plan to access this functionality.
