How to manage field mapping for BoldSign template fields to HubSpot properties?
Published:
In HubSpot, you can customize or map fields for existing BoldSign templates so that information from your records such as contact details, company information, or deal data automatically fills into the document when sending the signature request from templates. This helps you send documents faster and more accurately without manually entering details.
Follow the steps below to manage template field mapping:
- Log in to your HubSpot account.
- Open the required record where BoldSign is enabled.
- From the right navigation bar, find the BoldSign app card.
- Click the
Settingsicon. You will be redirected to the BoldSign Connected App page.
- Go to the
General Settingstab. - Find
BoldSign – Field Mapping for Templates. This option allows you to map fields for templates created in HubSpot or BoldSign and modify existing mapping details. - Click
Configure Templatesto select your template.
- You will be taken to the All Templates page, which lists all the available templates from BoldSign. If there is no template available in your BoldSign account, you can create new template from this page.
- Locate the template you want to do field mapping, hover over it, and click the
Settingsicon.
- You will be taken to the Field Mapping page, where current mappings are displayed.
- Select the type of HubSpot record you want to use for mapping. You can choose
Contact,Company, orDealbased on where the data should come from. - Match each BoldSign field with the corresponding HubSpot property.
- When finished, click Save. You have now mapped the template fields to HubSpot properties.
- You can now use the template to request a signature, and its form fields will be prefilled if values are available in the HubSpot properties.
