Can I customize the sender name or phone number for SMS notifications in BoldSign?

BoldSign does not support customizing the sender’s name or phone number for SMS notifications. All SMS messages are sent using BoldSign-managed phone numbers and predefined sender details.
This approach helps ensure reliable message delivery and compliance with region-specific SMS regulations.
Why SMS sender details cannot be customized?
- Custom SMS sender names and phone numbers are subject to regulatory and technical requirements that vary across countries and messaging providers.
- To maintain consistent SMS delivery, BoldSign uses standardized sender configurations that are managed by BoldSign and its messaging providers.
What you can customize?
Although SMS sender details cannot be customized, you can personalize other parts of the signing experience, including:
- Document names displayed to recipients
- Document content
- Email branding, such as logos, colors, and email templates
- Notification settings, including reminders and expiration schedules
How SMS notifications work?
When SMS notifications are enabled:
- BoldSign sends SMS notifications through its messaging providers.
- BoldSign automatically uses a managed sender name or phone number.
- Recipients receive SMS notifications related to the signing process.
The sender name or phone number used for SMS notifications cannot be modified.
