Why is my logo not showing in email notifications after branding configuration?

Published:

If your logo appears correctly in BoldSign and the branding preview but does not appear in email notifications, the issue may be related to how the logo is rendered in email notifications. Factors such as logo dimensions, image format, file size, or email client behavior can affect whether the logo is displayed.

Why is my logo not showing in email notifications?

A logo may not appear in email notifications if:

  • The uploaded logo does not use the recommended dimensions of 320 × 50 pixels.
  • The email client blocks external images by default.
  • The logo displays correctly in the branding preview but is not rendered properly by the recipient’s email client.

How to troubleshoot the issue?

Step 1: Review the logo configuration

  • Check the dimensions of the uploaded logo.
  • Check whether the logo follows the recommended branding guidelines:
    • Use a logo size close to 320 × 50 pixels for optimal email rendering.
    • Use a supported image format such as SVG, PNG, JPG, or JPEG.
    • Keep the file size within the recommended limit: 512 KB.
    • Remove unnecessary spacing around the logo image, if applicable.

Step 2: Update the logo

  • Resize or recreate the logo using 320 × 50 pixels.
  • Upload the updated logo to your brand configuration.
  • Save the changes.

Step 3: Send a test document

  • Send a new test document after updating the logo.
  • Open the resulting email notification.
  • Verify that the logo displays correctly in the affected email client.

Step 4: Check email client settings

  • Confirm that images are enabled in the email client.
  • Reload the email and verify whether the logo appears.

If the issue persists

If the logo still does not appear after updating the logo and sending a new test email, the issue may be related to the email client or other branding configuration settings. Contact BoldSign Support for further assistance.

  • Logos optimized for email display are more likely to render consistently across email clients.
  • SVG files generally provide the best visual quality. If transparency is required, consider using a high-quality PNG file.
  • A logo may appear correctly in BoldSign previews even if it does not render correctly in all email clients.
  • Some email clients block external images by default, which can prevent logos from being displayed.
