The BoldSign supports creating signature requests as a document, template, and bulk link. The best option depends on the specific task or project you are working on and the audience’s needs. A document is used when you send a signing request to others or self-sign. A template is used as a starting point for creating multiple similar documents. A bulk link is used when multiple people need to sign the same document by sharing links through email or embedding within an application.
There are a few scenarios where you might use a document, template, or bulk link. They are as follows.
Document
- A document would be a good option for individual contracts requiring you to place fields in different positions each time. A document allows you to create a standalone file that can be customized to suit the specific needs of each contract.

Template
- A template is useful if you frequently send the same contract for signature to different people with the same fields. Setting up a template will save time, and sending contracts based on the template will be easier.

Bulk Link
- This option allows multiple people to sign the same contract separately over time. You do not need to know the number of people signing the contract or their identities when you set up the bulk link. Once the bulk link is active, anyone with access to the URL can sign the contract. However, there can only be one signer per document. This is useful in situations like having new employees sign a non-disclosure agreement (NDA) – you can give the same bulk link to each new employee when they join.
